Terms of Use

1. Who we are, and agreeing to these terms
SubRunGear (subrungear.com) is a gear locker for runners, owned and operated by To When Pty Ltd, Sydney, Australia. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SubRunGear.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you connect a third-party service (such as Strava), you must also meet that service's age and eligibility requirements.
3. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your sign-in email secure. Usernames are first come, first served; we may reclaim usernames that impersonate others or squat on trademarks. You can delete your account at any time from your profile page — deletion is immediate and permanent.
4. Your content
You own the content you add: gear entries, photos, notes, comments, and kits. By setting your locker to public (or leaving items visible on a public locker), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host and display that content as part of the service — for example on your public locker page, in share images, and in club gear boards you opt into. The licence ends for content you delete, and entirely when you delete your account, except for copies already shared by you or others (for example a share image posted to social media).
5. Acceptable use
Verified usage is the point of SubRunGear. Do not fabricate mileage, upload activity files that are not your own training, or otherwise misrepresent usage on public pages. Do not upload unlawful content, attempt to access other users' private data, scrape the service, or interfere with its operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.
6. Strava and other third-party services
Connecting Strava is optional. Strava data is handled under our Privacy Policy and Strava's own terms and API rules: it is shown only to you, never on public pages, and deleted within 24 hours if you disconnect. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, and their availability may affect features that depend on them.
7. AI features
The Gear Advisor and Training Coach are AI features powered by Anthropic's Claude models. Their responses are informational only: they are not medical, health, physiotherapy, nutrition, or professional coaching advice, and they can be wrong. The Training Coach is not a substitute for a real coach. Always use your own judgement, and see a qualified professional for injuries or health concerns. AI features have daily usage caps we may adjust.
8. Affiliate links
Public pages can contain affiliate links. If you buy through them, the locker owner or SubRunGear may earn a commission at no extra cost to you — see our affiliate disclosure. Retailer prices and stock shown on SubRunGear are indicative and may be out of date; the retailer's site is authoritative.
9. The service is provided as-is
SubRunGear is under active development. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee or right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other law that cannot be excluded. Where liability can be limited, it is limited, at our option, to resupplying the service or paying the cost of resupply.
10. Ending or changing the service
We may change or discontinue features, and may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we will give notice on the site or by email; continuing to use SubRunGear after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you stop agreeing, delete your account.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
